I’m an introverted Fitness Coach living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Acadia University in 2013 with a Kinesiology degree and am currently studying Dietetics at Mount Saint Vincent University where I’m hoping to hone in my nutrition counselling skills. I’m hoping to combine my interest and knowledge in both exercise and nutrition to help as many people as I can reach their goals!
In progress: Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition in Dietetics – MSVU
Bachelor of Kinesiology – Acadia University
Personal Trainer – NSCA
Nutrition Coach – Precision Nutrition
I’m also dog obsessed.
WHAT I BELIEVE IN.
I believe in understanding and sharing the simplicities of health and wellness. By simplifying complex information and data you create a more engaging and accepting atmosphere.
UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS.
No matter the subject, if you have an understanding of the basics you can begin to form opinions, tactics, and reasons for doing what you’re doing. Exercise/health is no different.
POSITIVE MINDSET & CONFIDENCE.
A positive mindset and confidence are the two greatest side-effects I’ve witnessed from adapting a healthier, more active lifestyle. Your mindset strengthens with each workout and with each choice you make. Pushing you even further towards your end goal.
KNOW YOUR WHY.
If you don’t have a solid understanding of why you’re doing something, it’s not going to last. Dig deep and ask yourself why you should be exercising. Are there things you’ve wanted to do but don’t feel physically capable? Do you want to be able to enjoy hikes with your kids? With your grandkids? Live a healthy, fit, and exciting life. Ask yourself why.
